It’s weird to have already been working in a place for 2 weeks (I know, not actually THAT long, but out of 9 weeks… that’s a good chunk of time) and just now be doing the whole exploring/tourist-y thing.  Below is a giant list of places I want to visit.  If anyone has any recommendations/advice, such as:  when to go to certain places (day of week/time of day), how long to expect to take at museums, etc… PLEASE let me know!!!  (FYI, this list is just in the order that they were in the lonely planet book)

Trying to get the most out of this experience -

by forcing myself to think about it.

Yeah, yeah.  That’s what the field notes are supposed to be for.  But that’s just for work.  This is meant to be a way to reflect on the experience of interning in DC overall.  And yes, I’m completely aware that 99% of my thoughts and writing will be the same old observations and realizations that every person before me and after me will have.

But for now, from where I’m sitting, none of that matters.  :)
